I have spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, Hep C and had cancer a couple of years ago. On top of the recent issues I was intentionally "Misdiagnosed" in the mid 70's, so I could be examined and observed.
After years of being prescribed very powerful psychoactive medications including neuroleptic /antipsychotic drugs ,,, which I then attempted to COUNTERACT them using many types of street drugs and eventually got addicted to heavy drugs like cocaine and crack.
I also used opiates for chronic pain for decades…… I AM PLEASED TO SAY…….. "The Gateway" Back To Health plant – has helped me succeed in getting off all opiates,,, I no longer have a major mental health diagnosis other than a lingering affect of the hallucinogens which is called HPPD a label coined by Dr Henry Abraham as a diagnosis supposedly "treatable" .,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also I have slight anxiety and the usual highs and lows of life. OTHER THAN THAT, My overall health is actually good. Cannabis helps me focus when I need to, and UN-focus (tune out) when needed. my hypertension is gone,,,losing weight,,, getting in better shape this year and as we head into the new year I must say I may be healthier than in years. I turned 62 last July. yet most everyone thinks I am in my late 40's early 50's —
I've been "smoking Cannabis at least 47 years" and have since began using edibles as well. I had gone through years of Hell after I has "set up" to be arrested in 1974 three times for selling but I was not doing that. However, because I was about 120 lbs (soaking wet lol) they could not understand how easily I defended myself against three local police officers who were equipped with a device the called "The Claw" which was a metal claw like unit which once locked onto an arm or ket is not supposed to get loose. ANYWAY,,, to make a LONG story as short as possible………… ( kinda late for that hehe )
If not for Cannabis my life would have been strange. All the years I worked and at many many different types of jobs the main factor I never got bored from being basically overqualified at a lot of the factory and assembly jobs because smoking 24/7 back them meant when I woke up,, on my way to work,, every break and lunch,, on my my drive home Etc… but the best jobs I ever had were working sound and lights for a band on the road , after I had to give up my own career as a drummer because of the PSYCHE MEDS –
It is nothing short of a miracle how I have managed to regain my health, my mind and relaunching my musical career. I ATTRIBUTE IT TO MY BELIEF AND CONTINUED USE OF CANNABIS – DESPITE it prohibition.
As a descendant of the bloodline of Susan B Anthony and other historic figures and prominent Rhode Islanders…… I have always advocated legalization AND I do not believe it should be over regulated.
Having so many regulations and taxes upon taxes is NOT the way to go about approaching this. Complete repeal of prohibition would not stop people from buying from legal DEALERS – not everyone wants to grow, or has the opportunity . so just as people with backyard vegetable gardens and sell to farmer's markets Etc…. so could hemp growers.
Which reminds me "Hemp" could spark a NEW industrial Revolution…..
