The nearly $4 billion US medical marijuana and legal weed industries use ‘lots’ of electricity, and as east coast and midwest states change dated laws the consumption of electricity will skyrocket. Our electrical grid infrastructure in America is a mess, even inferior to some third-world nations.
We have no more power to give or sell, and especially to pot users.
Could policy makers impose increased electrical rates for pot farmers, or a tax?
What would the tax be? Or increase in electrical rates? Could this be a solution for the federal government and our elected leaders to shape the future of the cannabis industry; through taxation and price fixing of our public utilities to pot-growers.
Ideal future Federal policy changes would encourage outdoor growing in better climates like California and support the transport across state lines to colder regions like Michigan, states that are more dependent on indoor growing and electrical consumption.

It really bother me when I read ” ESPECIALLY TO POT USERS “!
How especially Vegas, Reno, or any other place ego waste power for glitz and not for medical needs.
I know this was just a short statement. I could continue with a large statistical base response.
I just pointed out waste vs needs. Thx
