It appears that medical marijuana is in one of those not so unique arenas where elements of the existing status quo are at odds with public opinion and the direction the voters have outlined. While legislative action has not addressed any “weaknesses” in the voter approved ballot initiative called the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act, non-policy-making governmental entities are quickly attempting to legislate from the courts.
