Senate Bill 377, Good or Bad?

This article was originally published on the Marijuana Patients Organization site on May 20, 2011.

Senate Bill 377 is an amendment to the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act that would allow patient and caregiver data to be sent to the Michigan State Police. This does not sound much different than prescriptions sent through central computer systems that collects patient, pharmacist and doctor information, all of which shared with the Michigan State Police.

There is, in our opinion a lot of polishing that needs to take place with this bill, but in all the concept is not half bad. Some point to the fact that police will have access to our data, should they not?
