Bills Go To House, Insurance Can Deny Medical Marijuana

If there was any doubt that Michigan patients cannot use their medical insurance benefits to pay for marijuana or physician visits that recommend medical marijuana use, our Michigan politicians are dedicating their time this holiday season to ensure there is no doubt left.

Politicians that get the majority of their political backing from insurance companies, like Senator Rick Jones (R) from the Lansing area, have led the charge with this bill and moreover, since 2008 have been attempting to gut the voter approved Michigan Medical Marihuana Act. Mr. Jones feels it important to protect the interests of his donor (insurance industry) than that of his constituents. Bloated fat cats and pompous asses have had a long history with politics, this ex-cop is an extraordinarily slimy example of a “corporation friendly politician” ready to sell out his neighbors, worse yet, his sick and elderly neighbors.

Most advocates of medical marijuana agree that insurance reimbursements were never the aim of the act, even the act itself implies that no insurance company shall have to pay. So why the push from our Senator Jones? Many speculate he wanted to read his name in the paper again, while most simply agree that he has insurance company interests before his own and wants to keep the donations a coming.

The restrictive measure that quickly passed the Senate is currently in the State House for a vote. The only criticism the bill faces is the distate that House and Senate members have for Senator Jones’ and his always present bias.

You’re a vile one, Mr. Jones. You have termites in your smile. You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile. Mr. Jones. Given the choice between the two of you, I’d take the uh… seasick crocodile.

  1. Will not be voting for him ever again. This guy loves himself too much and looks like an ass on the TV

  2. This grinch will never learn or grow a heart until he himself is sick, suffering and in pain and I will lend him a hand despite his antics. Only then will he understand the concept of compassion.
