Figures released by the US Government and pro-legalization groups like NORML and the MPP estimate that over 10% of the US population has used marijuana at least once in the last 30 days. Compare this to the number of licensed medical marijuana patients in California, less than 1% of the population and about .0025% in Michigan.
Claims that patients are abusing the system to get high legally simply are not true. Look at the math.
