How do I know when plant is done (ready to cut)?

Not sure what the exact time to pull my plants, can somebody give it to me straight. There are lots of ideas online.

  1. When you see amber trichromes (orange red looking ones) they are past their prime. Usually 10 to 15% amber means 70% or more milky trichromes and is ready to harvest. Below is a great video if you can get past the robot voice. Good Luck!
