It is difficult to believe although not surprising at all that in the year 2013, the Great State of Michigan continues to struggle ending the war against marijuana. Despite compelling scientific evidence of medical benefits, an overwhelming voter mandate, and scarce enforcement resources, the State of Michigan continues to ignore its Constitutional responsibility while kicking the proverbial can down the road. We encourage all voters, legislators, and other public officials to think critically about reforming medical marijuana laws and embrace common sense policies.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder surprised our nation with 1 speech and 1 memorandum this summer. What one is left to decipher from the announcement is that the funding and enforcement for the war on drugs will be reaching a conclusion much sooner than anticipated.
