Anyone that has kept up on proposed medical marijuana legislation in Lansing knows that State Senator Rick Jones has taken the charge with drafting laws to protect the public. While I feel that our senator is very well intentioned and does care about patients he is starting in the wrong areas.
What about instead of proposing legislation first to ban marijuana clubs, we focus on issuing patient cards quicker than the current 4-6 months. Did you know that patients all over the state are being arrested for not having their card and many feel scared not having it. There are a lot of issues that need sorting, lets start with the basics. With bright ideas from patients and strong leadership from those like Senator Jones we can begin to put patients at the forefront of this law.
