Can everyone not see what is happening in Michigan surrounding the issue of medical marijuana? Detractors will have you say the law is unclear, doesn’t make sense, the sky is falling, cartels are coming, you have heard all of the head lines.
What actually is taking place could not be further from the truth. Right now we see opposition and raids immediately following real progress and actual fixes to the law that make sense.
Recall last August, when Oakland County Sheriff’s coordinated efforts to raid dispensaries days after the city of Ferndale officially issued dispensary licenses. This past August, days following the city of Lansing issuing licenses to its operating dispensaries, a court ruling was interpreted to discredit their existence, again limiting real progress.
Any time real and common sense local ordinances and regulation is implemented by the people, the existing status quo (courts, cops, Attorney Generals and prosecutors) strong arm these real fixes and create medical marijuana problems, causing the confusion and smoke.
