A Grandpa’s Story of Marijuana and Curing Cancer

This article was originally published on the Marijuana Patients Organization site on January 13, 2013.

When my first basal cell carcinoma appeared over 30 years ago under my right eye  the dermatologist scraped it off and radiated it for good measure.  Over 100 other basal and squamous cell cancers have been treated since. Several years ago, a tenacious cancer appeared within the top of my right ear.  The dermatologist treated it many times.   In May of 2011 he said “I can’t get it all….go see a Mohs surgeon”.  After the surgeon removed the top of my ear in three stages, he said “I think I got it all”.

In 2005, the proctologist found cancer in six of nine prostate biopsies. Lupron Depot was prescribed to slow its growth while I got treated for another doctor-discovered, but symptom-free ailment:  a heart murmur.   So that Fall the aorta valve in my heart was replaced with a pig’s valve.  After recovering from this open heart surgery, 43 radiations of my prostate were done.

That April, I lost the central vision from my right eye.  The heart surgeon thought a tiny bit of plaque most likely got loose as a result of the heart valve surgery and caused a central retinal artery occlusion.  A vascular surgeon cleaned out my right carotid (the valve was left alone).  The doctors then prescribed Plavix, Simvastatin, Zetia, Lopressor, Synthroid and baby Aspirin to lessen the chance of a recurrence.

No Smell Technology

In 2010, my wife and I were encouraged to purchase full-body CT Scans.  She got a clean bill of health, but I was told I had a “22 x 31 mm ground-glass opacity” and an “11 x 13 mm nodule” in the central lobe of my right lung.  Biopsies indicated it was adenocarcinoma.   The pulmonologist, oncologist and thoracic surgeon all agreed that the “gold standard of treatment” dictated removal of that lobe.

After several more CT Scans showed the cancer was enlarging, and after viewing the complexity of such operations (http://www.ctsnet.org/sections/clinicalresources/thoracic/expert_tech-.html), I chose radiation treatment, thinking I’d  have a better chance of surviving than going under the knife again.  24 radiations and about 10 more CT Scans confirmed that the left central lobe was well zapped.  (I no longer needed to turn a light on when entering a dark room.)

In the Fall of 2011, the right ear began growing new cancers.  Fortunately, a friend suggested I watch “RUN FROM THE CURE” on the internet.  I viewed this, several other testimonials, and talked with Dennis Hill,  who cured his prostate cancer with the oil (after retirement from 20 years work as a biochemist in cancer research).  Since I was in between the CT Scans scheduled every six months to see where the next  zapping would be done, I thought “what have I got to lose”.  So after receiving a  State Medical Cannabis permit, I made  some oil and ingested the suggested total dose of 2 ounces  by April.

[blockquote type=”left”]Recent CT scans, chest X rays, Echo Cardiograms, EKG’s, carotid and aorta scans, blood tests, 24 hour heart monitor test, and physical exams indicated I am free of lung and prostate cancer.   Occasional skin cancers which appear are now treated topically with the oil. [/blockquote]

I am now consuming a number of over-the-counter supplements and a half-drop of the oil each day.   I weighed 190 pounds last November and am 170 now.  I have not felt this good in many years, and am again enjoying scuba diving and water skiing.

Obviously, I don’t know how this will all turn out.  But I am reminded of Rick Simpson’s statements that the “healing powers of cannabis oil do not stop at cancer”.  He had not seen any disease that cannabis oil couldn’t cure.  This included cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, pain disorders, mental disorders and more.  He said “there are probably a few diseases that the oil does not work on, but he had not found one yet.”

Over-dose of many medicines, even aspirin, can be fatal.  If one takes too much Cannabis oil, the effect wears off quickly and no harm is done.  No one has ever died from its use.  Since it is non-addictive, It does not cause your body to crave more.  Although my self-administered treatment was somewhat unpleasant during the tolerance-building stage, it sure seemed preferable to the agony, costs and long-term effects of surgical, chemical or radiation alternatives.

  1. Great story and love hearing it. My life has been extended by this miracle plant and my quality of life is better. So glad you are still with us Grandpa.

  2. I know this Grandpa. His brief description of his treatment really doesn’t cover all that went on, but the good news is that we are scuba diving, golfing, and still enjoying life. When & if I am faced with similar distinctions, his experience has made my path a lot easier to take. Thanks Grandpa

  3. How can the courts and politicians be attacking us when people like this are curing cancer and feeling better. Your story is a true inspiration. You should be doing appearances or giving your real name. Too many people hide behind fake names. Why are you ashamed grandpa marijuana? If I found something that saved my life I would be screaming it from the rooftops. Great story and glad you are alive but pay it forward

  4. I love that story! It gives me hope I don’t have any cancer that i know if, but I have been battling hepatitis C since early 2012, and went from 190lbs down to currently 132lbs and cannot seem to put or keep any weight on and I’m fighting nausea and vomiting on the daily, and I also have had a lower back fusion in 2006 and have massive arthritis and other aliments from a auto accident from 2005, so I’ve been an avid marijuana smoker for all of my pains
