Michigan Supreme Court Overturns Bad Rulings

It is difficult living in an industry where at every turn you are told the same thing, you are doing something wrong. This is the world that “us” in the medical marijuana industry have come to accept, after all we have never lived in another world, hang your head and just accept inequality. Our friends in the medical marijuana community were given a sign of hope from the Supreme Court, The high court reversed several decisions that were based on bias agendas and old beliefs. It should be noted the same 3 judges dished many of these bias rulings, bringing into question obvious character flaws.

Dispensary Bill Lacks Necessary Support

House Bill 5580 is an attempt to clarify dispensary regulations in Michigan. The bill that oddly refers to dispensaries as “provisioning centers” is a common sense approach at regulating a very legal distribution model and currently the most popular means for patients in Michigan to receive the medicine. Unfortunately, it is our stance the proposed bill presented by House Representative Mike Callton (R), will have little chance at passing the house. With 75% approval needed, the divisive issue of medical marijuana in Michigan, and dispensaries in particular, will not gain necessary support. The bill, while artfully crafted, has far too much “meat” for opponents of both parties to pick at.
