My father is a caregiver who currently has five patients…. Last summer he was raided and the reason that the “road pirates” were able to obtain a warrant was based on two things… First that on a previous visit by these pirates they wanted to inspect the grow and my father flexed his rights and told them that without a warrant or medical card that they could not enter the property… They asked him if he had the proper credentials to be able to grow and so my father produced his card and his patients’ cards as well… A month later they have a warrant ant destroy the whole crop… Warrant based on the card that my father produced that said was expired which was a lie and my father has proof that the card is in fact still good…. They also said that they could see the plants from the road.. what they failed to mention was that they were over 300 feet from the grow.
It is humanly impossible to be able to know what kind of plant is growing from 300 feet away with the naked eye but the magistrate signed the warrant anyway and when we showed proof of the lies the cops told to the judge they were ignored and motions were denied… Long story short my father is still at battle with this on a pro se because no lawyer up here is experienced enough or willing enough to defend medical marihuana growers.
The success of this story lies on the patients we’ve dealt with over the past five years. One in particular is a colon cancer patient that found us and she was given three months to live. So we started her on the R.S.O. and now its four years later and she is still alive and cancer free. My father was also providing R.S.O. for Alyssa Irwin who has battled brain cancer twice and won.
