Where do I find a doctor and which one do I choose?
Where can I obtain medication?
I’ve found myself asking all of these questions and having to do most of the answering myself. I managed pretty well, but I can’t say that I was 100% confident in the solutions I arrived at. There was always a thought in the back of my mind that maybe the doctor I had seen was not the most reputable, that the dispensary I visited may not have been following best practices or offering me a price for medication that was consistent with their mission as caregivers, or that the attorney I was seeking counsel from was more interested in collecting fees than vigorously defending me.
While the Internet was a valuable resource for finding my own answers to my questions, there was a common deficiency in each of the resources I used: The reviews were very biased in favor of their sponsors. This is completely understandable and there’s nothing underhanded about this, but biased information doesn’t do the best job serving the needs of patients. Fortunately, now patients have a new resource that doesn’t wrongly inflate opinions of doctors, attorneys, and dispensaries and tips the scales in favor of patients rather than businesses.
That resource comes courtesy of the MPO at pro.marijuanapatients.org, visitors can find information and reviews on doctors, and dispensaries in the twenty states where medical marijuana use is protected by law. There’s even an option to provide your own feedback. This method of crowd-sourcing information ensures that visitors to the site get a clear and accurate idea of the product or service they’re researching. Additionally, the directory is fully optimized for viewing on phones and tablets making it an indispensable resource when it comes to choosing your provider.
They do a much better job than the government at creating a healthcare website. It’s fast. It’s easy. It’s pro.marijuanapatients.org.
