This past week the New Jersey Assembly Committee approved industrial hemp legislation. The measure would allow farmers to produce marijuana with less than 1% THC, the psychoactive ingredient in the plant.
This legislation has a tough road but given a sensible New Jersey electorate and a well-written and sponsored bill, it appears this could be model legislation for other states to consider if passed in the state.
