For those patients in and around Metro Detroit, many of your dispensaries were just raided by cops with a chip on their shoulder. Many of the raids that occurred in the last week have been quick cash grabs, with intimidation tactics and ski-masks, intended to collect registers and not evidence. In one raid, when a lawyer arrived on location, the get-away van was quickly packed and the “SWAT” team fled.
So what happened? This month Sanjay Gupta released a shattering documentary showing the world what marijuana provides patients and urging for federal policy change. This month the Department of Justice directed judges to ignore minimum sentencing guidelines for drug offenders.
Whenever you threaten some ones job, they will fight back. This is what this “task force” did. They didn’t mean to harm the patients they held guns to or the caregivers they shook down. It was clear that their actions were directed towards Sanjay Gupta and Eric Holder and no one else.
It is a sad world when one would rather ride in back of the bus. That is the world us Michigan patients and caregivers feel most safe in.

This is just wrong. Maybe when you gut the corruption from Detroit this will stop. Crooked cops have ran this city and they will continue to. How many overdoses or kids murders happened in the time they were conducting these raids. My place closed for the day but is back open. This is why Detroit is bad because the protection is corrupt and those you trust to help you are not there or are there with hands out looking for theirs. Kwame for Mayor.

Could you explain in more detail how this is tied to the Doctor, the title of the article is eye catching but, don’t say how & why Sanjay’s is responsible for the raid’s. How is the show WEED causing dispensaries to be raided.??? Are they saying that the Dr. can’t be trusted or what.???

You all must remember that dispensaries are illegal under Michigan law, quit your whining and abide by the law. And yes I am a patient and have had no problems with law enforcenent. I abide by law though

Anyone from Detroit knows that the there is a seriously organized criminal gang within the police force that call themselves “G Squad”. All they do is rob people. Just like it says, they only cared about the register. It wasn’t a raid, it was a straight up jacking compliments of Detroit’s finest. They used to rob white kids that drive to the hood to buy weed. They would actually watch people buy weed then bust them and steal all their belongings while allowing the dealers to continue to operate. This has been going on for decades and has nothing to do with a CNN documentary.

the raids are happening because we are up for full legalization and DEA IS wanting to stop all indoor sales to only limited dispensaries. remember medibals are not legal yet .. gaylord mi had there raids beginning of the year we have started a petition for lagalization..
