Dover, Del. — A bill legalizing medical marijuana in Delaware received overwhelming support in the state Senate on Thursday. The bill, based on the Marijuana Policy Project’s model legislation, cleared the Senate 18-3 and now goes to House.

Medical-Marijuana Dispensaries– First County Trial Ends In Acquittal
The following story will be coming to Oakland County soon if prosecutor Jessica Cooper continues with her unlawful witch hunts. Ms. Cooper recently spoke to county commissioners in an attempt to get rationale leaders to buy in to her half-witted-ideas, part of an ongoing and expensive crusade to gain support for her cause of “look at me everyone”. Jessica, enough is enough.
Emmet County Seeks AG Opinion
Emmet County may seek an opinion from the Attorney General regarding whether the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act (MMMA) allows dispensaries. Based on recent actions and position of the Attorney General’s Office it seems that Attorney General Bill Schuette is not a fan of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act. But in an October 2008 Detroit News article Mr. Schuette mentioned that by not expressly prohibiting dispensaries or “pot shops”, they are allowed by implication. It will be interesting to see if Emmet County submits its request and how the former judge, now AG responds.

Federal Agency Recognizes Marijuana’s Medical Benefit for People Living with Cancer
Washington, DC — A change to the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) website earlier this month has caused a stir in medical marijuana and public policy circles, noting that the federal agency has uncharacteristically crossed a line in recognizing the medical efficacy of marijuana. NCI as part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has listed for the first time cannabis (medical marijuana) as a Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) in apparent contrast to information disseminated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which calls marijuana a dangerous drug with no medical value.
The Bureaucracies That Marijuana Feeds
On March 14, 2011, federal police agencies raided scores of marijuana-related businesses in a number of states–including my home State of Montana. Hundreds of people were detained, put in handcuffs, and their property seized. To my knowledge, however, only a handful has actually been arrested (at least in Montana).
Video of Patients Released to Oakland Press by Sheriff’s Department
There is no fighting fair apparently by our opponents in the ever increasing medical marijuana debate in Michigan. Oakland County Sheriff’s department recently gave the Oakland Press video of medical marijuana defendants in a Waterford case. The tape was filled with profanity and messages of rage towards a corrupt police department and Sheriff.
Marijuana Patients Can’t Drive?
If you’re a Michigan medical marijuana patient, you don’t get to drive, according to our Attorney General.
Medical marijuana advocates are unhappy about Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette’s reaction to a case concerning a medical marijuana cardholder who was arrested for “driving under the influence of drugs,” reports Carol Hopkins at the Oakland Press.
Smell of Marijuana No Longer Justifies a Search
BOSTON — The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has ruled in Commonwealth v. Cruz, an American Civil Liberties Union case, that the mere smell of marijuana no longer justifies a search or seizure, because the possession of a small quantity of marijuana is no longer criminal in Massachusetts.

Medical Marijuana Employment Rights
California has recently presented a bill that would prevent California employers from discriminating against marijuana patients in the state. This is wonderful news for California, so when will Michigan follow suit? Which Michigan politician will step up and propose this kind of legislation? When Michigan voters approved the medical use of marijuana they did not think this would also include forcing patients out of a job.
