Most in our industry are men, that is a fact. Does that mean that men run the industry, are men the future of marijuana? I do not think so. Some argue that men are stronger, and braver and often first to be vocal about several issues like medical marijuana. I would say that men are louder while women are more deliberate.
The number of women jumping on the ‘medical marijuana bus’ is growing. Women are mothers, keepers of the house and worriers for the family, and the inherent risks of marijuana and the federal law, has kept many of my sisters on the sidelines.
What will it take to get more women to ‘come out’ about their medical marijuana use? Some say that when the government stops taking children, raiding families and taking homes then women will be fully vested. I disagree. The government will never back down and us women are the tipping point.
Women lead the way.
We have seen throughout history that women often are the catalyst for societal change. Take prohibition of alcohol in the United States. Women were vital in changing the law and lent logic and sensibility during a very confusing time in our nation's history.

Most women are afraid of the consequences of marijuana.
Chemical pills are what I am afraid of.
