As the title states, per a decision this past week by the Michigan Supreme Court, patients are unable to legally transfer, sell, or give marijuana, in any quantity, to another patient.
Only caregivers are exempt from prosecution when transferring or selling marijuana. This ruling may have an impact on farmers markets or dispensaries not set up with legal caregivers. The ruling also points to a more regulated distribution scheme to be put in place.
Ted Higgins, a mid-Michigan dispensary owner and member of the Medical Marijuana Dispensary Association said “The ruling will not impact my business. We have legal and licensed caregivers working at the clinic.” Mr. Higgins also added, “the ruling will only make it that much harder for sincere patients to acquire the medicine, and that after all, may be the aim of our opponents.”

This is afwul news and shows how the supreme court in Michigan is as bad as it gets. Thanks politicians for saving our vote and showing the courage to stand up, oh wait that is right you did nothing and let judges do what they have done for years persecute marijuana users. Absolute garbage in Lansing.
